Rego Auto Changeover LPG Regulator 450 Mj/Hr
Auto Changeover Regulators allow for two bottles to be setup and connected at once, with the regulator drawing off 1 bottle at a time.
With both cylinders full and valves open, the automatic changeover’s visual indicator is green. The arrow on the automatic changeover’s knob shows which one of the two cylinders is supplying gas. This is known as the “service” cylinder.
The other is the “reserve” cylinder. When the pressure in the service cylinder pressure drops, the regulator automatically switches to the reserve cylinder to supply gas flow without interruption. The visual indicator on the changeover will turn red, and this means it is now drawing off the “reserve” cylinder.
This cylinder is now the “service” cylinder, and the empty cylinder can be turned off and removed or refilled. Once the empty cylinder is filled, reinstalled, reconnected to the regulator and checked for leaks it becomes the reserve cylinder. The dial on the auto changeover head can be rotated to the new “service” cylinder and the indicator will now appear green.
